SBCC USER LIST WELCOME AND GUIDELINES OF USE
Thank you for joing the SBCC Userlist. We hope you will enjoy the friendship that this group offers and the campionship
of the Saskatchewan British Car Club community as a whole.
The list server on which we are now hosted enables you to select from a variety of ways for communicating and receiving communications
from Club members. The most common options are as follows:
*--To receive e-mails as they are contributed to the List
*--A digest with all the contributions for that day or
after 25 messages, whichever comes first
*-- No mail at all from the List (handy if you are going away on holidays)
eight or more options which are available to you to modify your profile
MESSAGES are posted to the group by e-mail "userlist AT sbcc.ca"
Please ensure that you are using quality and updated antivirus and ant-spam software on your computer to save fellow SBCC members from infection.
If you have difficulties in any way please e-mail "list-admin AT sbcc.ca" and the moderators will do all we can to help.
You can unsubscribe or alter the way you receive messages by going to "www.sbcc.ca/mailman/options/userlist " and entering your password.
Or you can also make such adjustments via an e-mail message to "userlist-request AT sbcc.ca" with the word "help" in the subject line and in the
body of the e-mail (do not include the quotes) and your request. You will receive a return e-mail with instructions.
We have a few rules but would hope that most of the discussion would revolve, in some way, around British Cars and associated subjects.
We have no objection to robust exchanges but would hope that the normal levels of consideration and respect for other people's view will hold.
Please remember that a comment passed in an e-mail, without the benefit of being face to face, can, and often are, misconstrued.
This list server carries no advertisements, commercial or of any kind and this includes no live links from business apps or other sources.
It is not, therefore, acceptable to post any advertising material to the group and the moderators reserve the right to remove anyone who does.
We do not, of course, object to hearing from anyone organising non-commercial SBCC events. The SBCC website has a page Autojumble set aside for the advertisement of items that
members may wish to sell or trade. Please make use of it.
Attacks on individuals or commercial organisations are equally not allowed.
The members of this group are only too willing to help others with technical help or suggestions where they can. However,
please remember that these suggestions will be given in good faith and the discussion group cannot be responsible for the accuracy of the information posted.
The User List has been set up to accept attachments such as photographs. As a courtesy to other users please keep the file size small. The message size limit is set to 4.5 MB including
the message text and any e-mail posting over this size will be rejected. If you wish to send a series of photographs of your car,
say as you restore it or from a holiday, the webmaster for SBCC has created a Member's Gallery Page. So please contact the "webmaster AT sbcc.ca" if you wish
to share your photographs. Also if you plan to re-use an e-mail, change the subject line and remove the contents of the body of the e-mail.
Please remember that any member who posts to the SBCC Userlist is responsible for the content, and the statements made in their message (s),
and that the content of the message(s) are not intended to be the views of SBCC or the SBCC executive.
Now that this is out of the way the main thing is to enjoy being a member of this group. The moderators hope that if you have any complaints,
or suggestions, as to how we can improve the SBCC discussion group that you will let us know at " list-admin AT sbcc.ca"
The SBCC Userlist Moderators are: Bob Forward (SBCC President); Ed Driver (SBCC UserList Administrator and Web master) and John Pharr (SBCC Old Brits editor).
