The SBCC was proud to have been able to help out and support the Draggins Rod and Custom Car show by sponsoring the Valve cover racing at the show.  We saw more racers this year than last and hope to see even more in 2027.

Some of our racers got quite imaginative, even turning it into a family team event.  Racing (and building) these little cars is a great opportunity for kids and teens to learn basic engineering skills, enjoy some friendly competition, and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

To encourage and support others participating, we’ve created a valve cover racing for beginners document and the racing rules are HERE.  We also have a selection of used valve covers available (thanks to a donation by Amigos Auto wrecking).
